Getting Started
How do I create an account?
Register with your name, email address, and phone number. Depending on platform settings, you may need to verify your email or phone via a one-time password (OTP) before gaining full access.
Do I need separate accounts as a client and freelancer?
No. Mawaheb uses a single-account model — you can post jobs as a client and submit proposals as a freelancer from the same account. Your role is determined by context, not by account type.
How do I post a job?
Go to "Post a Job," fill in the description, budget, and timeline. Your job will be visible to freelancers immediately after publishing.
Payments & Escrow
How does escrow work?
When a contract is created, the client pays the full amount (freelancer fee + platform commission) into escrow. Funds are held securely until the work is approved. If no action is taken within 7 days of delivery, funds are released to the freelancer automatically.
What are the fees?
Mawaheb charges a commission on each contract. The commission is added on top of the freelancer's agreed amount — freelancers always receive their full proposed rate. Commission rates vary by job category.
How do payouts work?
Approved funds go to your wallet. You can request a payout via Jawwal Pay, bank transfer (IBAN), or cash pickup. Payouts are processed by the Mawaheb team within 48 hours.
Contracts & Deliveries
What contract types are available?
Fixed Price (full payment upfront in escrow), Hourly (weekly billing with automatic invoices), and Milestones (contract split into phases, each funded separately).
What if I need revisions?
The client can request a revision when reviewing a delivery. The freelancer reworks and resubmits. Each new submission resets the 7-day auto-release timer.
Disputes
What if there's a problem with the work?
Either party can raise a dispute on an active contract. Funds are frozen until resolution. The process has three tiers: direct resolution (72h), evidence submission (72h), then an admin decision (up to 7 days). The admin's Tier 3 decision is final.
Account & Security
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. Payout details (bank IBANs, Jawwal Pay numbers) are encrypted with AES-256. Passwords use bcrypt hashing. Access tokens expire every 15 minutes.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings > Account and request deletion. Your personal information will be anonymized. Financial and contract records are retained for legal compliance.
